The Amphibex is versatility on water makes it suitable for uses ranging from heavy work to fast emergency response. Its powerful engine, propulsion system and pumps, superior mobility and sophisticated positioning equipment place it in a class by itself.

The Amphibex is a proven environmentally-friendly machine designed to operate without damaging the earth. Its hydraulic system uses a newly developed environmentally-safe biodegradable oil and its engine meets planned North American emission standards for the 21st century. Another important environmental feature of the Amphibex is its ability to operate with low noise levels; it is equipped with a super critical silencer that reduces noise to remarkably low levels.

The positioning system

The Amphibex's optional sophisticated positioning system, developed by Normrock Industries, is particularly useful for clean-up operations. It can pinpoint the exact location where the machine is to set to work, by night or day. A graphical display system enables the operator to position the bucket with a high degree of precision.

Propulsion system

The Amphibex's propulsion system is designed to provide maximum power with minimal disruption. Maximum speed is 8 knots. The propeller can be raised in shallow waters to protect aquatic vegetation and avoid disturbing riverbed sediment.

Cab

The Amphibex's cab meets the highest standards of comfort and visibility. It is equipped with two deluxe seats, easy-to-reach controls, side windows that can be opened, and a range of standard and optional accessories.

Engine C9 Acert Caterpillar

 Equipped with a light, compact, low-pollution C9 Caterpillar engine,( Meets Tier IIIA emission requirements ). the Amphibex excavator has power to spare (275 to 375 bhp - standard model: 275 bhp).

Pumping and accessories

 The Amphibex's powerful hydraulic pumping system can propel highly concentrated solid residues over distances of more than one kilometre. The Amphibex can be equipped with an array of accessories (bucket, cutterhead-equipped pump bucket, rake, etc.) to enable it to perform the job at hand.
